During the hour Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) course, you will learn about human anatomy and physiology, pathophysiology, patient assessment techniques, management of common medical complaints, management of the trauma patient, administration of limited medications, and concerns for special patient populations.

    Graduates of the EMT program are eligible to sit for the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) certification exam. Upon successful completion of the exam, graduates are awarded the NREMT credential and are eligible to apply for licensure with the State of Florida. At MTC, we offer a hour course to train you to care for victims of sudden and serious illness in emergency situations. Students who successfully complete this course will be eligible to take the National Registry exam sponsored by SC DHEC. With just six months of training, EMTs, also known as First Responders, work in a variety of settings, including county emergency services departments.
